Backup Running Backs
Week 11 unfortunately produced multiple running back injuries, providing opportunities for a few notable backups around the NFL in Week 12. Seattle’sThomas Rawls handled the rushing duties with Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) out, and ran for 81 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Rawls receiving 21 carries in an up-and-down game is encouraging for his weekly workloads heading down the stretch and into the fantasy playoffs.
Tevin Coleman was solid for Atlanta on Sunday while filling-in for Devonta Freeman (concussion). Coleman ran for 110 yards on 18 carries in what was a great performance outside of losing a fumble. The Atlanta offense struggled as a whole however, and with Freeman expected back in Week 13, Coleman will be fantasy bench material until further notice.
With Charcandrick West (hamstring) out on Sunday, Spencer Ware turned in another solid outing. Ware rumbled his way to 114 yards and a score on 19 carries, and now has 210 yards on 30 carries (7.0 ypc) over the last two weeks. Ware will be a high-end RB2 next week at Oakland if West misses more time, but will likely take a back seat to West if his troublesome hamstring is ready next Sunday.
